Dear Mayor Villaraigosa,
Our family is outraged by the brutal racist actions of the Los Angeles Police Department on May 1, 2007 in your city’s Macarthur Park. This unprovoked brutal attack is shameful and should not have taken place at all in a city that should pride itself for its diversity and tolerance.
We demand that you, Mayor Villaraigosa, take immediate action to bring the rogue LAPD in compliance with civilized norms of behavior and those police officers involved in this horrible crime be made to pay for their shameful acts. We also demand that Los Angeles Police Department Chief William Bratton be immediately fired.
The United States is a country of immigrants and if it were not for them and their sacrifice we would not have many of the comforts and freedoms that we now enjoy. We will not condone or look the other way when heinous police brutality is utilized to suppress public demonstrations in our nation. We hold you personally responsible for this crime on innocent civilians.

We stand with more than a hundred thousand people who have come to Washington, DC from all around the country at the massive anti-war demonstrations.
We demand that the U.S. troops be brought home immediately. Hundreds of thousand of innocent Iraqis and thousands of U.S. G.I.'s have been killed and maimed. The body count will only grow. Instead of spending $1.4 billion per week, every week (that's $200 million each day), for an illegal and criminal occupation of Iraq, these funds should be used to meet human needs like support for the victims of the federal mishandling of Hurricane Katrina.
George Bush was aware of the questionable nature
of the facts upon which he launched the war against Iraq. In fact he lied to the people of the United States.
Bush is guilty of the “high crimes and misdemeanors" which constitute
grounds for impeachment and removal from office.
The House has a solemn duty, under the Constitution, to begin impeachment investigations
to determine the extent of the President's legal culpability.
